§ 01 / What is BILT Europe Conference?

Europe's largest independent Design Technology conference.

BILT Europe is Europe's largest independent Design Technology conference, bringing together professionals who design, build, operate, and maintain the built environment to share knowledge and push the industry forward. Rooted in a rich legacy of BIM, digital construction, and integrated design, it charts its own path for the European community.

What sets BILT Europe apart is its "by users, for users" philosophy: every speaker, session, and conversation is driven by real practitioners, not vendors, not sponsors, making it the place where architects, engineers, contractors, facility managers, and technology leaders truly find their people.

§ 02 / Manifesto

Welcome to BILT Europe.

A community, a conference, a network, and a platform, where building industry experts exchange unvarnished knowledge.

Our origins go back to 2012, when an already existing global network of specialists recognized an urgent need for better collaboration in digital design and construction, and for accelerating the development and adoption of technological solutions. In 2013, this vision became reality with our inaugural conference and continued annually until the COVID-19 pandemic brought in-person learning to a standstill.

The years that followed reshaped our world. Recovery, climate change, economic instability, declining construction output, and war forced us to rethink how we could continue our mission responsibly and effectively. When we returned in 2022, it was clear that times had changed, for us as organizers and for our colleagues across the industry.

And so, we made a choice. We chose to build BILT Europe on three convictions we won't compromise on:

  • 01Meeting face-to-face remains a crucial form of interaction where trust is built, serendipity prevails, and innovation accelerates.
  • 02High-quality education must remain accessible, even in a time of rising costs and constant change.
  • 03As an industry with a significant environmental footprint, we must lead by example, embedding sustainability in our programme and events.

BILT Europe is more than an event. It is a community, a platform, and a catalyst for building a better industry, together. Our commitment is simple: to deliver a cutting-edge conference experience while rigorously reducing our carbon footprint through zero-waste principles, conscious resource use, and smarter transportation choices.
